OTAGO WITNESS

MUTINEERS. - Yesterday Capt. Robertson of
the "Simlah" prosecuted four of his crew for
the wilful neglect of duty from the 4th May,
under the 4th part of the 78th Section of the
Merchant Seamen's Act. Messrs. Wilmot and
Watchorn presided; and Mr. Perry appeared
for the complainant and owners. The names
of the offenders are, Thomas Paddon, John
Walker, William Hobley, and John James
Bloom. They were severally committed to
twelve weeks hard labour in the House of
Correction, and to forfeit respectively one
month's wages from the 12th July last. The
police court was crowded to excess upon the
occasion, and particularly by the passengers
who came out in the vessel. - Guardian, Aug 16.
